API Setup Guide

Get your Google Maps API key in about 5 minutes.

Step-by-Step
Go to console.cloud.google.com and sign in with hello@nicholasyee.com.
Create a new project under the nicholasyee.com organization. Name it NYP Travel Calculator.
Go to APIs & Services → Library. Enable: Distance Matrix API, Geocoding API, and Places API.
Go to APIs & Services → Credentials → + Create Credentials → API Key. Copy the key.
Click Edit API Key → API restrictions → Restrict Key → check all three APIs. Save.
Paste your key into the yellow banner at the top and click Save.

Google provides $200/month free credit. At $0.005 per lookup your annual usage costs approximately $2–3.
